The new legislation would increase the number of electric plug-in vehicles able to receive tax credits by expanding beyond conventional four-wheel automobiles to include three-wheel and two-wheel vehicles.
If passed, the FREEDOM Act of 2009, bill S271, would provide up to $7,500 in tax credits to consumers buying either two or three wheel electric plug-in vehicles.
